Those in need of a healthy dose of blues guitar will welcome the news that
Stephen Dale Petit and his new band (with an average age of 23) are playing the
100 Club on
Saturday 8th October with
XFM's
Steve Harris as a Guest DJ and Support.

November sees the release of
Stephen Dale Petit - The BBC Sessions featuring his guest appearances on
BBC Radio 2's
Paul Jones Rhythm and Blues and
Bob Harris Shows and he will be playing tracks from the album at the show.
Petit also recently recorded in Nashville with
Vance Powell (Kings Of Leon, Willie Nelson, The Dead Weather, Buddy Guy) at the desk and is planning to follow up his two critically acclaimed albums (
Guitararama,
The Crave) with two new albums for 2012.
Not only that, but while in Nashville, Petit visited
Gibson's Custom Shop to pick up his brand new
signature SG, and what a beauty it is!
'I used the LP '62 Custom with a Maestro tailpiece as the starting point - knocked out the middle pick up, added gold Grovers, ebony fretboard - frets and custom wound burstbucker pickups and caps & pots and neck dimensions all to my spec, said Petit of his new acquisition. 'I sent 'em a piece of mahogany with the colour I wanted & added the flowerpot to the headstock. I can't say enough about how great everybody at Gibson Custom Shop were. I'm over the moon about the guitar, and played it for nearly all the recording sessions on the new album.'

If you want to see the bluesman himself in action playing his new axe, get your tickets now as they're likely to sell out fast!
