Two affordable new bass guitars fresh from Frankfurt Musicmesse

Squier's first new offering is the Matt Freeman Precision Bass. With a basswood body, maple 'C' shape neck and slick finish options, this is ideal for those who want style with a punk rock sound.

Whether hammering out the low end for Rancid, Operation Ivy or Devils Brigade, Freeman's signature sound is created via a split-single coil pickup and a vintage tint fast-action neck allows for those quick-fingered riffs.

Other specs include a HiMass bridge with four brass barrel saddles, three-ply black-white-black pickguard, Matt Freeman Signature on Front of Headstock, Vintage Styling, Knurled Chrome Dome Control Knobs, Gold Squier Logo, Finger-rest, Synthetic Bone Nut and Brass Saddles.

Available in white or black maple.

Next up is their new short scale Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special, 'a distinctively sharp-looking, great-sounding and super-versatile Squier bass model.'

Features include a stylish offset-waist body and ultra-slim 30”-scale maple neck, the one-two punch of a booming split-single-coil Precision Bass middle pickup paired with a Jazz Bass single-coil bridge pickup

The Jaguar Bass Special SS is designed for players of all genres who prefer a short-scale instrument, but still yearn for a quality tone. Available in Silver, Black or Candy Apple Red Rosewood. Great value too!
