Gibson's new Les Paul BFG with tremolo is a model that's sure to be favoured more by the rock fraternity armed with a divebomb-friendly Schaller vibrato tailpiece and nifty 'kill switch' wiring.

Pickups come in the form of a P-90 in the neck position for 'biting, edgy fat single-coil tones' and an overwound wax-potted BurstBucker 3 at the bridge for that all-important chunky rock sound.

It's got a carved maple top and mahogany body (chambered for improved weight and resonance), a glued-in mahogany neck with rounded "Studio" profile, a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and a sturdy Graphtech nut that'll ensure you'll stay perfectly in tune.

Lookswise, the wooden control knobs and grain-textured satin Worn Ebony finish hand-sprayed with nitrocellulose mean this new Les Paul is certainly one of Gibson's stranger looking models.
