Megadeth announce the return of original bassist David Ellefson

Dave Ellefson rejoins Megadeth


Dave Mustaine has announced the return of their old bass player, David Ellefson. The bassist left the band in 2002 and wil be rejoining them for their upcoming 20th anniversary Rust In Peace tour beginning March 1st, where the band are due to perform the whole album in it's entirety. Ellefson is continuing with the band in support of their new critically acclaimed album, Endgame. Departing bass player, James Lomenzo issued a statement on his myspace site saying, 'This is the richest part of my years with the mighty Megadeth. I'm truly excited about the 2 Dave's getting back together. I think it will be great for Megadeth fans.'
