The London Bass Guitar Show has announced their full-line up for this year's show.

The London Bass Guitar Show has announced the line-up for their upcoming show taking place on March 2nd and 3rd at the London Olympia. The show looks set to be their biggest yet!

Legendary bassist Megadeth's David Ellefson takes the stage for what is described as 'mostly spoken word' on Sunday 3rd March - a chance for visitors to quiz him about his playing style, bass parts, gear and technique issues, Megadeth's recent Grammy nomination and the band's forthcoming album, Super Collider.

Ellefson will also be holding a bass masterclass on Saturday for wannabes to brush up on their low-end licks.

The 2013 line-up also features bass players from all styles of music and including players from both band and session backgrounds from soul and funk bassists through to metal and avant-garde jazz musicians.

Here's their info…

'We’ve got the great Peter Hook and Jah Wobble, who first emerged into the public eye in the very British post-punk acts Joy Division and PIL, Soul/funk/jazz/dub cats Nate Watts (Stevie Wonder) and Malcolm Joseph (Grace Jones), will deliver those thunderous low notes and quick-thumbed slap.

Plus session veteran Guy Pratt, jazz/metal overlord Jonas Hellborg, blues aficionado Andy Irvine and many others now confirmed including Die So Fluid front woman Grog Lisee – who has sessions under her belt with Mel C and many other artists – South American tech guru Igor Saavedra and rockabilly upright legend Lee Rocker.

We can also confirm UK session player Phil Mulford (Lionel Ritchie, Beyonce), Brand New Heavies bassist Andrew Levy and Wojtek Pilichowski, voted the Best Polish Bass Player by Guitar & Bass readers. Add to the bill the chance to explore a couple of large halls’ worth of bass gear and the London Bass Guitar Show is the ultimate show for anyone into the low notes.'

Enjoy the show!
