The Les Paul Foundation and Julien's Auctions Beverly Hills have announced that guitars, equipment and personal effects from the estate of Les Paul are to go to auction

The Les Paul Foundation have got together with Julien's Auctions to auction off various rare guitars, musical artifacts and personal effects that belonged to the legendary guitar pioneer Les Paul.

'Property From The Estate Of Les Paul' auction is due to take place on the 8th and 9th June this year in honour of what would have been Paul's 97th birthday.

As we'd expect, the sale features some incredible lots we'd love to get our hands on including a 1968 Les Paul Custom Recording Model (Est. $60,000-$80,000), a 1951 Fender Nocaster (Est. $40,000-$60,000), a 1927 Gibson L-5 Sunburst Cremona (Est. $10,000-15,000) and a 1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop (Est. $14,000-16,000).

Proceed from the sale go to The Les Paul Foundation to help pay tribute to the life of Les Paul in their mission to 'honour and share the life, spirit and legacy of Les Paul by supporting music education, engineering and innovation as well as medical research.'
