Similar to Neil Young’s beloved ‘Old Black’ Les Paul with its sleek high-gloss ebony black nitrocellulose finish, Gibson's new Les Paul Traditional Bigsby is a real looker and undoubtedly plays like a dream.
Spec include a mahogany body with 'weight relief' chambers, a carved maple top and a solid one-piece quarter-sawn mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard that houses its 22 medium-jumbo frets.
The pickups are built to resemble Seth Lover’s time-honoured PAFs using original spec materials; a 57 Classic at the neck for those warm LP voicings and a chunkier 57 Classic Plus at the bridge.
Lastly, of course, the genuine Bigsby B-70 allows players to achieve that classic vibrato action.
To seal the deal, it comes in a lined black hardcase and with Gibson’s limited lifetime warranty.
At $3,198, it's abit of a bank-breaker, but we can dream…
