Ampeg new Pro Neo bass cabs are compact, durable and able to take some serious muscle


Ampeg's new Pro Neo HeadsAmpeg have announced the release of two new bass heads in their Pro Neo Series. Both heads are described as delivering 'the high wattage, tonal flexibility and lightweight design of Ampeg's SVT-PRO Series' and are rack mountable. The SVT-8PRO has Ampeg's highest ever highest output bringing forth a gut-busting 2500W of RMS power that's sure to leave most bassist's worth their salt salivating at the prospect. Features include a flexible 5-position mid tone control, remote switching FX loop and an onboard variable compressor and with a top notch JJ12AX7 tube preamp it's a perfect match when combined with the new Pro Neo Series or the Heritage series cabs. The Ampeg's new Pro Neo HeadsSVT-8PRO has Ampeg's highest ever highest output bringing forth a gut-busting 2500W of RMS power.

Ampeg are also releasing some new compact and extremely lightweight are cabs designed specifically to harness the power of high-output, modern bass heads and come in a selection of speaker configurations including 4x10″ (PN-410HLF), 2x10″ (PN-210HLF) and a single 15″ (PN-115HLF). Ampeg's product manager, Zane Williams, describes them as ‘able to handle massive power, built to Ampeg's highest standards ever and more compact than ever possible before' - all thanks to their custom-designed Eminence® neodymium drivers, 15mm birch plywood enclosure and powder-coated metal grille. The Ampeg PRO NEO Series will be available globally March 2010. The PN-410HLFwill have a UK RRP of £867 and the PN-115HLF will have a UK RRP of £867.
