The new album from veteran rockers Aerosmith promises to be a fresh dose of the old-school

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer has revealed that the band are planning a new album for 2011.

The new album will be the first time the band have released any new material since 2001's Just Push Play and if Kramer is to be believed then it's a return to their 'old-school' roots.

Kramer told SpinnerMusic.co.uk, 'We're going to do it the old way with the whole band and it should be a good one.'

Guitarist Joe Perry also reported the news on Twitter saying, 'whole band has plans to go into the studiowith Jack Douglas (producer) second week of July to work on new Aerosmith CD.'
