Marshall Amps toast half a century of rock ‘n’ roll with 50 year old single malt whisky
Leading amp brand Marshall is celebrating its 50th year anniversary in true rock star style by unveiling a limited edition 50-year-old single malt whisky to mark the occasion.
The unique islay single malt has been distilled by Ian McLeod on behalf of Scottish producers, Smokehead, and only 200 bottles will be available to the public.
Benefiting from a long distilling process, the 50 year old whisky is known as the ‘angel’s share’ in the drinks industry, so called because so many in the Scotch whisky industry just don’t managed to produce 50 year old single malt.
Jon Ellery, Managing Director of Marshall Amps, said: “What better way to celebrate 50 great years than with the ultimate in rock accessories – a bottle of single malt from Smokehead.
“We’ve already marked our 50th anniversary with a concert that attracted rockers young and old, so partnering up with Smokehead is just another way of celebrating the brand that is synonymous with Britain and ultimately, rock ‘n’ roll!”
With a nose of hazelnut, apricot, cocoa, ground coriander and orange zest, a palate of chocolate, kiwi fruit and fresh mint and a finish of tropical fruit, sweet oak and elegant spice, this is a drink to be savoured with every sip.
With a price tag that mirrors such a quality brand, this unique whisky is available at £420 and comes in a beautifully presented silk-covered anniversary box. Inside, two whisky goblets bearing the signature of the legendry Jim Marshall completes this exquisite gift.
